Knock Out Roses until First Frost

Knock Out Rose with buds

‘Knock Out’ roses are some of the longest blooming flowering shrubs we grow. They keep blooming all the way through fall until the first frost.

Gardeners should focus on removing spent blooms, weak stems, and damaged branches. Doing so not only tidies the plant but also directs its remaining energy into the root system, which will help carry it through the colder months.

Heavy pruning should be avoided although any stems that show signs of disease such as black spots or mildew should be cut away.

As the weather continues to cool off, we’re keeping our fingers crossed that we get to enjoy their vibrant pink colors for as long as possible!

No frost yet please!
